Zusje Düsseldorf

This summer, Zusje opened the doors to its second location in Germany, right in the heart of Düsseldorf’s Altstadt. With this new restaurant, the Dutch restaurant chain takes another step in its international growth. On Mühlenstraße, Bulsink transformed an existing 500 m² hospitality venue into a completely new Zusje restaurant with seating for approximately 150 guests – all in just two months.

Turnkey delivery: from technical plan to interior details

For Zusje Düsseldorf, we took responsibility for the complete realization of the project. Our broad scope ranged from the technical development of the design and the coordination of permits to construction, installations and the final details of the bespoke interior.

Transforming an existing property into a completely new restaurant concept requires smart solutions and close coordination. We integrated existing installations into the new concept and brought design, engineering and execution together from the very start. With one partner overseeing the entire process and taking responsibility from start to finish, we help turn international ambitions into reality. That is turnkey delivery from A to Z.

Building ambitions across borders

With the opening in Düsseldorf, Zusje continues its growth beyond the Netherlands. When expanding internationally, a recognizable concept not only needs to be successfully translated into a new location, but also needs to comply with local regulations, technical requirements and permitting procedures.

With teams in both the Netherlands and Germany, we can move quickly and efficiently. We combine our knowledge of the food sector with local expertise, bringing all disciplines together in the right way. From permits and technical challenges to on-site realization, while always preserving the identity and experience that define Zusje.

We go the extra mile

Work started on May 26, and the project was completed on July 27, 2026. In that short period, an existing hospitality venue was completely transformed into a new Zusje restaurant, ready to welcome its first guests.

For us, a project like this goes beyond construction. It means thinking ahead together, taking responsibility and making sure an ambition becomes reality – even across borders. From the first technical plans to the final interior details and the moment the doors open.
