Story

Ingrid Reacq

As a Project Developer, Ingrid Reacq plays an important role in the early stages of construction projects. “I think about how smart material choices can be used to achieve the desired look and feel.”

Can you tell us something about yourself?

“My name is Ingrid Reacq, I’m 45 years old. I live in a beautiful green part of Eindhoven, opposite De Wielewaal, with my husband Micha and our daughters Oona and Zola. I have been working at Bulsink as a Project Developer for almost three years now. At the time, this was a completely new role.”

“Outside of work, I also enjoy helping friends and family with the layout of their homes. I like thinking along and coming up with solutions. I also love good food and a nice glass of wine. At the weekend, I happily spend half a day in the kitchen cooking an elaborate meal for others.”

“When I see a design, I immediately start thinking about how it can be realised within the budget.”

- Ingrid Reaq, Product Developer

What does your role involve and what do you enjoy most about your work?

“As a Project Developer, I am involved quite early in the process, from the initial request through to the awarding of the contract. In this preliminary phase, I think about how smart material choices can be used to achieve the desired appearance. I mainly do this for hospitality clients and for our Construction & Development department, which focuses on transforming commercial buildings or offices into homes and apartments. For the construction project De Pieter, for example, I put together option packages so that buyers can already decide what their new-build home will look like.”

“I have a very pragmatic mindset. When I see a design, I immediately think about how it can be realised within the available budget. That’s what I enjoy most about my work, I think. Making a design feasible by offering practical solutions, while preserving the look and feel. Keeping the designer happy and helping clients build within budget.”

“That is the strength of Bulsink. Not thinking in boxes, but looking at where someone’s strengths lie.”

What is it like to start in a role that didn’t previously exist?

“Really great, because over the years you can shape and develop it yourself. That is also the strength of Bulsink: not thinking in boxes, but looking at what someone is good at.”

“I’ve learned a lot myself as well. Through the projects I’ve worked on, I’ve gained an enormous amount of knowledge about the application of materials in projects. And in the meantime, I practically know all RAL colours by heart.” Laughing: “I’ve become a bit of an encyclopedia when it comes to materials and colours.”

CORE VALUES

Which of Bulsink’s B.U.I.L.D. core values suits you best and why?

“Inspiring. That’s something I focus on continuously in my contact with clients, designers and colleagues. Inspiring each other by sharing knowledge.”
