Renovation Holbeinhuis
The time has nearly come. IWG, with brands like Regus and Spaces and the world’s biggest provider of hybrid office locations, is opening a new Signature branch in Rotterdam. In the heart of the city, in the iconic Holbeinhuis on Coolsingel. Construction partner Bulsink is currently putting the finishing touches to the office areas.
IWG’s Signature offices are renowned worldwide as the ‘five-star hotels’ of the office segment, with luxury workplaces in prestigious locations in cities like London, New York and Paris. And now in Rotterdam.
Club area with roof terrace
Distributed over four of the eight floors of the Holbeinhuis, Bulsink is creating various office areas. On the top floor, there will be a club area; a communal meeting area including a reception, roof terrace and shared hospitality services.
Focus on perception
Bulsink is often approached for projects in which perception and image are key elements. This is partly due to the background of the family business. Besides its office projects, Bulsink also has extensive experience in hospitality and retail.
Eye for detail
Luxury floors, glass walls in the corridors, metal stud partition walls: the renovated Holbeinhuis is finished to a high level. As tenants expect from a Signature office. IWG calls the office building the ‘living room of entrepreneurial Rotterdam’.
Cooling ceiling
In addition to the architectural work, Bulsink is also responsible for the mechanical installations in the building, as well as the HVAC installation to control the indoor climate on all the floors. This installation includes climate control using cooling ceilings, a sustainable alternative for traditional air conditioning. And on the subject of sustainability: the renovated Holbeinhuis has been awarded energy label A++ and a BREAAM Very Good certificate.
