ASTO’s New Showroom
A showroom today is much more than a place to view products. It’s an experience – an environment that inspires and brings brands to life. That was exactly the focus of ASTO’s renovated showroom, designed by interior designer Gerry Vermeulen (Ostudio) and built by Bulsink.
More Than Displays
The new showroom offers customers a complete home experience – from kitchens and bathrooms to toilets and tiles. “It’s about the total experience, tailored to the customer and with an eye for trends that will last for years,” says Gerry Vermeulen.
With open sightlines, natural materials and warm acoustics, she created a space that perfectly connects with the kitchen showroom. Compact, well thought-out and full of atmosphere – a place that inspires and invites exploration.
The Power of Collaboration
From the very beginning, Bulsink was involved as an active partner, contributing ideas about feasibility, materials and budget. Not as a contractor joining at the end, but as a partner from the design table.
During the Concept Design phase, we translated the vision of Gerry Vermeulen and ASTO into a realistic plan – from routing and layout to a technically sound design. Early on, it became clear how aesthetics, functionality and experience could come together seamlessly.

This was followed by the Engineering phase, where we developed the design in detail using 3D scans and digital models. Every connection and component was checked and coordinated with suppliers and installers. Thanks to this tight coordination between design, engineering and execution, the process ran efficiently and without surprises on site.
In the construction phase, everything came together. Our teams ensured a streamlined execution with clear planning, short communication lines and daily quality checks. “In fact, we built twenty bathrooms simultaneously – at showroom level,” says Giel van Roosmalen, Retail Director at Bulsink. “That requires precision, planning and trust.”
By connecting design, engineering and construction from the very start, the project evolved into a showroom where everything aligns – from vision to realization.
