Sanne van Grinsven
What’s it like to work at Bulsink? Who better to answer that question than our own people. In our employee stories, we want to give you a behind-the-scenes look at our corporate culture. Today it’s the turn of HR Specialist Sanne van Grinsven.
Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
“My name is Sanne van Grinsven and I’m 28 years old. I was born in Boxtel where I lived my whole life, until two years ago. I left my home province of Brabant for love and now live in Beuningen, where we spent most of the coronavirus period renovating our house. That project is now completely finished.”
“In my free time I like to travel. And I also enjoy spending time with family and friends.”
If you want people to keep coming in to work every day smiling, it's important that they are given enough opportunity to develop.

How did you end up working at Bulsink? And why did you choose Bulsink at the time?
“I started working here on the first of December last year. During my previous job, in the temping industry, I took a part-time course in HR. I wanted to do something more with these skills. I always thoroughly enjoyed the job placement side of things, but HR is a lot broader than just recruitment.”
“I landed at Bulsink sort of through the grapevine. I already knew the company because we’d worked together through my previous employer. In my previous job I got to see the inner workings of many companies. If you help other organisations with staff, you always get a guided tour yourself.”
“I chose Bulsink because the work environment appealed to me and the culture, mentality and DNA of Bulsink fit me like a glove. It’s an innovative business where you can also realise your own ambitions.”
What do you do as an HR specialist?
“HR is basically made up of inflow, throughflow and outflow. Depending on the developments in an organisation, the focus is on these three aspects to a varying degree. Luckily, I haven’t had to deal with outflow yet. In recent months we have mainly been working on the inflow, i.e. hiring new staff.
“That has to do with our growth. We need good people to realise our ambitions. I interview candidates almost every day. For our Dutch organisation, but also for projects in Germany and France.”
“The focus in the coming months will surely shift more towards retaining our team. We will do this by conducting performance reviews with colleagues and offering them development programmes. Areas like the work environment and employment terms are already top-notch here. But if you want people to keep coming in to work every day smiling, it’s important that they are given enough opportunity to develop.”
“Our whole working environment breathes inspiration. If you have ambitions too, my advice would be: come and see for yourself!”
Bulsink uses B.U.I.L.D. as its core values: Brand-conscious, Ultra-fast, Inspiring, Leading and Determined. Can you pick out one or two core values and explain what they mean to you?
“In the few months since I started working here, I have noticed that our core values really give an accurate description of Bulsink. They are in the DNA of all colleagues.”
“The core value that comes closest to my work as an HR Specialist is inspiring. The growth that Bulsink has experienced in recent years, as well as the ambitions we have, can only be achieved with the right people. An inspiring work environment contributes enormously to attracting and retaining the employees we need.”
“Every job interview we hold with applicants starts off with a tour of the company. Almost everyone tells us afterwards that they were already convinced after the tour. The warm welcome with a cup of coffee. People who drop in for a quick chat. The fact that the managers’ doors are always open. The whole atmosphere feels good. Our whole working environment breathes inspiration. If you have ambitions too, my advice would be: come and see for yourself!”
