Britt Mutsers
Our own staff are most likely the best people to tell you what it is like to work at Bulsink. Our employee stories offer an inside look at our company’s culture. Today, Account Manager Britt Mutsers takes the floor.
Can you introduce yourself?
“My name is Britt Mutsers. Recently, I turned 26. I studied International Business and Languages. After that I wanted to start a Master’s, but I was offered a job as a commercial property manager. In that position, I was responsible for commerce and sales at a multi-company building.”
“Then, someone tipped me for a job at Bulsink. That seemed like a nice step to me and so that’s how I started here. This January I will have been here for one year.”
What Bulsink had to offer was exactly what I was looking for. A place where I could grow in the field of sales, with a great customer portfolio, and that offered me an opportunity to expand my own network.

How and why did you end up working at Bulsink?
“Through a mutual connection. As a side-job during my study programme, I worked as a freelancer for a while. At business events, trade fairs and conferences. That resulted in quite a network. This mutual connection knew that they were hiring at Bulsink and he tipped me: “I think that’s something for you.”
“After a first phone call, I knew immediately that it was indeed something for me. What they had to offer was exactly what I was looking for. A place where I could grow in the field of sales. A great company with an impressive and inspiring customer portfolio, and that offered me an opportunity to further expand my own network.”
“When I entered the building for the first time, I was already picturing myself working here. Even though as an account manager you are on the road a lot, obviously. But at those moments when you have to be at the office… wow.”
What can you tell us about your work as an account manager?
“That it is extremely varied. On Mondays I am usually in the office for the commercial meeting, but for the rest of the week every day is different. I may be on the construction site in the morning, wearing my steel-toe boots, have a new business lunch meeting afterwards, give a presentation to a customer in the afternoon and attend an event in the evening. I really like that variety. I am not the kind of person you can put in front of a computer all day.”
“In my role as a junior account manager, I partly do new business. It’s not that you get a full customer portfolio thrown in your lap; you start with nothing and have to do your own acquisition. I like that and it keeps me motivated even more. To approach potential customers, listen to their ambitions and see how we can realise those ambitions together.”
“Junior account managers are also involved in projects of the senior account managers to whom they are linked; my colleague John in my case. At Bulsink, every junior is linked to an experienced senior, who kind of mentors you. I attend almost all John his meetings, for example. And I learn a lot from him about customer relationship management, and how to generate new business from it.”
“Day in and day out, we are enthusing and inspiring our customers, which always results in something beautiful.”
The Bulsink organisation uses B.U.I.L.D. as its core values: Brand-conscious, Ultra-fast, Inspiring, Leading and Determined. Can you pick one or two of these core values and explain what they mean to you?
“I’d say Determined. That one really suits me as a person. Once I’ve got my mind set on something, I sink my teeth into it. It is typical of Bulsink. Always deliver on your promises, no matter what you encounter during a construction process.”
“Secondly, I’ll go with Inspiring. I think Bulsink is a super inspiring place to work. Because of the office itself, but also because of the people who work here. My colleagues are a constant source of inspiration to me, and I also try to inspire others. And as a team, day in and day out, we are enthusing and inspiring our customers, which always results in something beautiful.”
